Oklahoma

To adhere to sweeping changes made by the 1997 Legislature in House Bill 177A covering state land management, this summer the Wyoming State Land and Farm Loan Office will submit revisions to 13 of its 16 rules governing the administration of state lands for public comment. Final adoption of the rule revisions is expected in August.

In the coming months, the office expects to work closely with a legislative interim committee that will review the "fair market value" issue for surface uses, with particular interest directed toward grazing rentals and recreation user fees.

Wyoming

Oklahoma will host the first investment conference of the Western States Land Commissioners Association at the Fifth Season Hotel in Oklahoma City on July 21-22. The conference is recommended for land commissioners, state treasurers, investment boards and others charged with the responsibility of managing the investment of public land trust funds.
